Aetna InteliHealth
InteliHealth offers a collection of consumer health information from a variety of sources -- Harvard Medical School and University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, but also including the National Institutes of Health and the National Library of Medicine. Aetna U.S. Healthcare provides financial backing.

The Health Library includes condition-specific Health Zones for a variety of everyday concerns, and the Adult Health Advisor, an alphabetic list of conditions with their definition, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment.

Free online searching of Medline, MDX, and the USP Phamaceutical databases is available to users willing to register with the site.


HIV Insite

A web site devoted to the health of children and teens created by the medical experts at The Nemours Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to pediatric care.

KidsHealth offers a collection of articles written for children and parents covering the health concerns of children and teens. Instructional games and animation are included for children.

Drug Information RxList - The Internet Drug Index
A database and search engine produced by Neil Sandow, Pharm.D.

The search engine allows keyword searches of the nearly 300 RxList monographs for potential drug interactions, side effects, indications, etc. Each monograph contains a full description of a commercially available US prescription drug drawn from Mosby's GenRx. A second feature allows products to be searched and identified by their tablet/capsule imprint code.

A project commissioned by The European Commission (DG III) and executed by Heymans Institute of Pharmacology and Mercator School, Department of applied Linguistics.

Technical terms and their popular equivalents are arranged alphabetically in each of the nine languages: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Each term is linked to a list of its equivalents in the other languages, and an English dictionary definition.
